This recipe for adventure is available to any one of us, but is rarely prepared because we all live so well planned and convenient lives that we seldom think of it. The ingredients are very simple, all you need is: 1 Motorcycle of your personal preference 1 Minimum of luggage (can you live with out it, [...] Keep reading

Just came back from Harley meet on Bornholm, a small Danish island. A very relaxed atmosphere people was just enjoying themselves and having fun. The original plan was to stay from Friday to Monday and see a bit of the island while I was where there. But the weather wasn’t too good and since it [...] Keep reading

A kick ass woman biker

I had heard the rumor of an American girl touring Europe on a vintage motorcycle. Today I learned that it’s true, her name is Jacqui Van Ham and she’s riding a 1972 BMW R75/5 (Thanks to my buddy Olaf, for the tip). I think it’s bloody great what she’s doing, and I wish it was me. Photos from Bedrock 2008

This weekend was Bedrock weekend (for the uninitiated, that is a pre 54 motorcycle and car meet), and as usual it was bloody good event. The track this year was long and very difficult for the lads on two wheels. But they did great and delivered one of the most entertaining races I’ve seen yet. [...] Keep reading

Maybe you already own a Versys, or maybe you’re like me and sort of curious about the bike. Anyway you have to go check out KawasakiVersys.com. As the site administrator puts it: “It’s a new community site for those interested in discussing the Kawasaki Versys motorcycle. Versys Owners as well as any other motorcycle enthusiasts that respects [...] Keep reading

Scott and Zack is going on a European tour with their two brilliant movies Choppertown - The sinners, and Brittown. A good chance to meet up with all the nutters that are into greasy old iron. Check out the schedule here. I’m plotting to be there when they’re in Hamburg. But I’m also going to Bedrock [...] Keep reading

New toy for the Ducatisti

Sony Ericsson, just released a new Ducati phone. Car brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini etc. have been putting their name to notebook computers for a while. I wonder if this is the first move from motorcycle manufacturers to do the same for phones. Next up might be a skull shaped clamp shell from the Milwaukee buys. Via: [...] Keep reading

The good people from Sturgis Rally has provided me with tickets for all three concerts at Sturgis. But since I’m not going, I’ve decided to give away the tickets to you. It’s not that I don’t want to go, but I’m on the other side of the pond and bringing my bike and everything to [...] Keep reading

Brittown DVD review

May 21st, 2008 Jesper 2 Comments »

Just watched Brittown the new motorcycle movie from the guys behind Chopper Town - The Sinners. Brittown follows a guy called Meatball who excels in building vintage British motorcycles like Triumph, BSA etc. The movie is loaded with paralyzing moments of cool vintage motorcycles being put to actual use. The filmmakers Scott Di Lalla and Zack [...] Keep reading

There’s not much to criticize on this years Super Rally. Logistics where great, food was good, music was good, and the beer was reasonably prized. Just one thing was bad, and that was the police being a little less than easy to work with at the entrance. I had no problems, but when the rally began [...] Keep reading

This weekend was super rally weekend, and my bike got finished just in time to make the run. The weather was beyond great and there was no mechanical hick ups along the way. That was more than enough to make it a great weekend. But things was going to get even better. On Saturday I had [...] Keep reading

Well, think again. Here’s a video from back when an old dented bucket on top of your head was considered the highest safety standards. And I don’t think Monty Python was born back then so they can’t have been involved. But it’s clear where they got their inspiration.  Keep reading

Your first motorcycle memory

April 15th, 2008 Jesper 15 Comments »

You might have forgotten, or at least you don’t think about it much. But if you really try to recall, what is the first memory you have about motorcycles? When did the bug bite? Here’s when the bug bit me I didn’t really have motorcycles in my life when I was a kid, so as far as [...] Keep reading

Yea, well it’s a pocket bike but never the less. I know I’m probably on thin ice here concerning both animal welfare and the seriousness of the blog, but what the heck. Think of the possibilities. Next step is to train the little fellow to drive down to the local store and pick a six [...] Keep reading
